"Phantoms Dance" by Debra Mathis is a great collection of improvisational piano pieces. This is a very heart-felt album told through dreamy arrays of jazz and classical progressions. Think 70's New York jazz with traditional roots. Debra is quite a talented pianist and puts all of herself into her playing. "Flowers of Glass, Cages in Time" has a nice meditative quality. Songs like "Remembering When" and "Iron and Ice" dig deeper and leave you in a ponderous state. This album is great for relaxation and quiet inspiration.
